Every period of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and not-so-free battle royale Warzone involves collabs with other cultural franchises. The games have witnessed King Kong, Dune, and further in past periods. None of them have been very tempting to me, but then again I’m not the audience I don’t play CoD. Hang on, I’m being passed a note…WOW, guys they are cooking a Trash crossover! I suppose I’m a CoD player now.
Mobile Suit Trash is a massive multi-media franchise about science fiction warfare carried out using giant mecha. The franchise started in 1979 with the primary Mobile Suit Trash animated series but has spread out over many shows, movies, manga, video games, and more in the decades since. Now that extensive list involves a CoD crossover.
The Trash crossover will launch in Season 4 of MW3/Warzone, as spilled in a tease on social media pursued by a full revolution on May 20. Season 4 starts on May 29 but there are no definite details on when the Trash bundles will become accessible in the game. When they swoop in, they will come in the arrangement of three specific packs. Together, the packs provide gamers access to Operator Skins for three iconic matches from the franchise: the RX-78-2, MS-06S Zaku II, and XVX-016 Trash Sky. It’s a nice compilation of old and new forms from the franchise, but I think they should’ve gone wild and made an Operator Skin for iconic adversary Char Aznable. He’s just a lad in a funny ensemble and I would like to see him go wild with a machine gun.
The packs will also include unique death impacts, emblems, charms, decals, and more stuff. No clue on pricing yet, but anticipate it to be in line with past crossover bundles which have valued 2400 COD Points each, which is the equal of $20 in genuine money. For those who don’t grab the bundles, Season 4 will also possess a Trash-themed situation, which likewise presently has no arrival date. Don’t be amazed if there is also a special item you’ll grab for purchasing all the packs, as was the circumstance with both the King Kong and Dune bundles.
I just adore the notion of scampering around a somewhat realistic military shooter as a massive robot with colorful color and a laser sword. The Trashes won’t be as big as they are in the franchise customarily, which sort of makes it even funnier. It just mounts to the absurdity of Warzone’s skins, which makes it feel like a costume event where Timothée Chalamet can get ruined by a robot or Nicki Minaj. Also, ever since the superb hero-shooter Trash Evolution was sealed down in November of 2023, this may be the nearest thing.
